Howard W. Patrick, CPA, PA
Howard W. Patrick is a Tax Partner at the Gainesville office of the firm of Davis, Monk & Company. Howard graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering in 1968. He received advanced degrees from Georgia State University with a Master of Business Administration (Finance) in 1972 and with a Master of Professional Accountancy in 1977. Howard joined Davis, Monk & Company in 1977 and was certified as a Certified Public Accountant in Florida in 1979. Howard is treasurer of the North Central Florida Chapter of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Estate Planning Council of Gainesville.
Howard specializes in tax and small business matters, where he works extensively in financial and tax planning areas. He has also served as an expert witness in litigation related to valuation of assets and works in the areas of pension plans and nonprofit organizations. Howard has been actively involved in the startup and growth of numerous technology businesses in the Gainesville area. His involvement with private companies and the Gainesville Area Innovation Network (GAIN) and the Alliance for Economic Outreach of Alachua County, Inc. (CEO) organizations keeps him involved in the technology transfer arena on an ongoing basis.
Active in the community, Howard is Treasurer of GAIN and the Gainesville Community Foundation. He is also a graduate of Leadership Gainesville, past captain of the Gainesville Quarterback Club, past president of the Friends of Five, Inc., past treasurer of the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce, past president of the Estate Planning Council of Gainesville, past chairman of Keep Alachua County Beautiful, Inc., and member of the Rotary Club of Gainesville and the CEO.
