John Rowe, CPA, PA
John Rowe is the Partner-in-Charge of Davis, Monk & Company's Palatka office. John has been a resident of Palatka, Florida for twenty-four years. He graduated from St. Johns River Junior College, Summa Cum Laude in 1971 and from Florida State University, Magna Cum Laude, in l973.
John's experience with national accounting firms includes exposure to public sector engagements and a variety of governmental, non-profit, and commercial enterprises. As a sole proprietor or partner for thirty years, he has had a broad range of experience including individual, corporate and estate tax planning and preparation, accounting or auditing services for businesses such as doctors, lawyers, restaurants, service stations, grocery and convenience stores, manufacturers, professionals and various retail operations. John has assisted in the purchase and sale of many businesses, business valuations, settlement of various legal disputes and acted as a professional witness on various financial matters. John has also served as an instructor in accounting for two years at St. Johns River Community College. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and the Florida Institute of CPAs (FICPA).
John is very active in the Palatka community. He has twenty-one years of membership and nineteen years perfect attendance in Kiwanis, having served in all offices. He has served as a board member and a Vice President of the Palatka Chamber of Commerce. He has been involved with Junior Achievement, acting as a weekly speaker/counselor to a senior economics class and was on the board of Putnam County Cities in Schools for eleven years, serving as chairman for nine years. Among other offices, he currently serves as a chairman of Putnam County Cities in Schools, a director and vice president of Putnam Habitat for Humanity, and Treasurer of First Baptist Church of Palatka.
